During the Prohibition Era, two bumbling Chicago musicians, Joe (Tony Curtis) and Jerry (Jack Lemmon), witness the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Discovered by its perpetrators, the duo out of desperation decide to do the natural thing: dress up in drag and join an all female band heading out to Florida. It looks like smooth sailing at first as the two successfully go undetected by their mob pursuers. However, things get a little complicated when Joe falls in love with another member of the band, Sugar Kane Kowalczyk (Marilyn Monroe), and Jerry finds himself courted by an impish little man who can't get enough of "Daphne." Can "Daphne" and "Josephine" make a new life for themselves, or will they find that they got more than they bargained for? More importantly, will Daphne marry Osgood, and where will they honeymoon? Also stars George Raft as "Spats Columbo" and Joe E. Brown as "Osgood Fielding III."
