Amélie Poulin is a young lady living in Paris who is disconnected from the world, as a result of her very sheltered childhood. She works as a waitress in a cafe, surrounded by people with their own problems. One day, she finds a small box of items hidden in her apartment 30 years ago by a young boy. She decides to return it to the owner, and if that is successful, she will become a "regular do-gooder". She returns the items anonymously, and ends up obsessed with do-gooding. As she plans more and more elaborate fixes for the lives of others, she ignores her own life. Then one day, she sees a young man drop his photo album in the street. And she is determined to return the album. |
