Meet the Fockers is a continuation of Meet the Parents. The two main characters, Gaylord Focker and his fiancee Pam bring their two families together for the first time. The two families have different views and values, and this is the basis for much humor throughout the film. Pam's dad does not trust Gaylord, and uses his powers as a former government agent to investigate Gaylord and his previous relationships in an attempt to discredit him. When all is said and done, everything works out for the best. The truth comes out, and Gaylord is finally accepted by Pam's father. The two family's also learn to respect each other and their different (but both useful) lifestyles.
