A man with amnesia learns that he has a wife he does not know, and that he is believed by the authorities to be guilty of a number of murders he does not remember committing. He discovers that a group of strange people called simply "the strangers" are after him. The story revolves around not only his search to find out who he is and what he has done, but also the search of a police detective to discover the truth. All the main characters find inconsistencies with all of their memories and with the way society is set up, and all of these seem to go back to the strangers. Reality is not as it seems, and no one is really sure who they are, or what their past contains. |
